Set of 2 Thonet chairs No. 10 from around 1870/75 with through legs. They are ready to use, sturdy and stable. Finished in blonde shellac. The No. 10 chair is not a common model, as it was largely surpassed by the No. 11 chair (oval caned medallion in the back), but its simplicity and understated design make it quite sought after. The front legs are adorned with a turned capital, and the seat frame is trapezoidal (43cm X 42cm). This model was primarily intended for dining rooms rather than bistros. Seat height: 47 cm - total height 91 cm. In very good condition, excellent axial symmetry. Label (1 b) under each seat. The label "1B" indicates a production date between 1870 and 1875. There is no stamp from these production dates. New caning with six strands (2.1 X 2.3 mm), taut and flawless. More photos and information available upon request. Shipping via secure parcel within France and Europe or collection in Alsace.
