Antique French oak coffee table – XXL farmhouse table from the 19th century

Large antique coffee table made of French oak dating from the first half of the 19th century, around 1800–1850. Originally designed as a dining table, it has been lowered to the height of a coffee table. With its generous dimensions of 196 × 90 cm, it serves as an impressive centrepiece in a large living room. Made of solid oak, featuring a top made of five planks, square straight legs, and a drawer on one of the long sides. The wood has a warm natural colour and a beautiful old patina, with the grain, knots, and old marks still clearly visible. The simple construction and proportions are typical of French rural furniture from this period. No superfluous decoration, just a large antique oak table full of character. The table is sturdy and in very good antique condition. The surface shows normal signs of age and use. Please note that the legs have been shortened at a later date.
