Large antique French farmhouse dining table from the 18th century. The table is primarily made of solid oak, with a chestnut top composed of two wide boards approximately 35 mm thick. The two drawers are also made of chestnut. The table features a traditional and simple construction with four tapered legs and a deep apron. It has two practical drawers: one on the long side and one at one end, both equipped with antique metal handles. With its length of 220 cm, the table can accommodate up to 10 people. The clearance under the apron is approximately 60 to 62 cm. At the end with the drawer, the clearance is about 58 cm. The wood shows many signs of age and use, including marks, scratches, wear, old repairs, irregularities, and variations in colour. The two wide chestnut boards of the top retain many signs of its long history. The table is sturdy and ready for use. Origin: France. Period: 18th century. Materials: oak and chestnut.
