Guillerme and Chambron “Grand Repos” Armchair

This iconic armchair is part of an exceptional pair created in the 1960s by the French design duo Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron: the "Rest & Small Rest" model, also known as "Grand Repos" and "Petit Repos." It's a truly comfortable throne. This particular armchair was designed for a slightly larger person, while the second, slightly smaller armchair was designed for a slimmer individual. The frame is made of solid light oak, known as the skeleton, with finger-shaped backrests, armrests, and legs with a fluid, organic form. The fabric shows wear consistent with age and use, with minor sun fading in some areas. This armchair is in very good condition: stable, sturdy, and very comfortable.
