Antique French Louis Philippe mirror dating from the mid-19th century, made during the Louis Philippe period (circa 1840–1860). The mirror features its original wooden frame with stucco decoration and a weathered gilt finish. The simple rounded profile and the beaded inner moulding are characteristic of Louis Philippe mirrors from this era. It retains its original mercury glass plate, displaying the natural patina and oxidation developed over time. The mirror is in good antique condition with signs of age-related wear. The frame shows losses of stucco and gilding, age-related cracks, and several stabilised old repairs, all consistent with its age and use. The original mirror glass exhibits characteristic spots and oxidation. The mirror is structurally sound and ready for use.
