Elm commode Maison Regain from the 1980s.

Superb chest of drawers made from solid elm attributed to the Regain House dating from the 1980s. Its aesthetic is close to the brutalist movement and rustic furniture, with a search for formal simplicity and a pronounced emphasis on the material. The elm, highly valued at that time for its spectacular grain and durability, provides a warm presence that contrasts with the very structured geometry of the whole. The design is based on particularly solid construction. The short, massive feet, slightly offset, as well as the peripheral base, enhance the architectural aspect of the piece.
