Enamelled ceramic terrine cocotte

Large terrine cocotte. Superb large vintage terrine / cocotte by DUROFEU, made in France 🇫🇷, in earthenware / glazed ceramic. A very beautiful old oval model with a radiating ribbed design and a large lid adorned with a sculpted relief of a hen's head. Magnificent warm shades of ochre, caramel, and orange-brown, contrasting with the light beige interior with a crackled glaze. DUROFEU marking present under the base, now partially faded due to time and use. A very lovely piece of vintage French table art, as interesting for its original use - terrines, pâtés, oven cooking - as it is as a decorative object in a retro kitchen, chic country style, or flea market.
