Herman Miller 670 Lounge Chair and 671 Ottoman in Rio Rosewood. Ray & Charles Eames design. New leather! Production of the Lounge Chair began in 1956 after several years of development. This example left the Herman Miller factory in the United States on November 1, 1976. The woodwork has been restored and finished with hard oil. The original cushions have been reupholstered in black Swiss leather. The plywood panels are veneered in Rio Rosewood (a protected Brazilian wood, no longer exportable these days). Superb example.
