Octagonal Venetian mirror – Napoléon III period – Bevelled engraved glass

Venetian wall mirror in an octagonal shape with cut corners, Napoleon III period, mid to late 19th century. The frame is made of bevelled and engraved glass plates, adorned with floral patterns, foliage, and white scrolls. The crown features a decoration of symmetrical volutes in cut glass, enhanced with round beads and engraved plant motifs. The peripheral border is treated with finely carved bead grains. The back support is made of blackened oak from the period. Workshop report: missing rosettes on the fixing screws; a chip noted on a decorative glass element at the bottom left. Patina and wear consistent with the age of the piece. Cleaning required. The item is entirely original according to the seller. Dimensions: H. 95 cm × W. 55 cm – Weight: 7 kg.
