Charming small painting depicting a reclining male nude with his head in his arms. Expressionist touch with these flat areas of deep pink for the skin tone and the dark background barely sketched by this impasto material. Signed "C. Bourgeois" at the bottom centre, but the back bears the inscription "Jacques Bourgeois" as well as an old label titled "Petit nu Homme". Nice gilded moulded wooden frame. The whole is in very good condition. Dimensions with frame: 15 X 23 cm.
