Sculptural table lamp in brass and opaline glass from early 20th century Europe. This early 20th-century table lamp is a first-rate sculptural balance and is both a practical object and a work of art. The lamp consists of a cast brass frame with an opaline glass shade. The structure rises from a curved base and transforms into a continuous line turned inward, held in a moment of tension, before expanding outward again. A luminous object from the time when Art Nouveau became Art Deco - let's say around 1920-1925. Probably French or Belgian. The brass has darkened over time and shows a beautiful patina. Delivered in good original condition with a very nice patina. Initially wired for the EU.
