Superb black B64 armchair by Marcel Breuer (set of 5)

Set of 5 B64 chairs (Cesca type) by Marcel Breuer. A set of 5 B64 chairs attributed to Marcel Breuer, icons of modernist design from the Bauhaus. Designed in the late 1920s, these chairs embody a revolutionary approach to furniture, based on structural lightness and the use of bent steel tubing, without traditional rear legs, following the cantilever principle. These pieces combine a natural cane seat and backrest with a black steel frame, offering an aesthetic that is both graphic, functional, and timeless. A cohesive set of 5 chairs in generally good condition. The cane is well preserved across all pieces. The frame shows some scratches and missing black paint, with no impact on sturdiness, easily restorable if desired. The set maintains a beautiful visual coherence and an elegant patina.
