Mid-century floor-standing ashtray, *vide-poche*, or catchall; features a stylized mythical dolphin crafted from copper-plated metal and a round onyx marble base. Dating from the second half of the 20th century, France. It also serves nicely as a small side table—for instance, to hold a drink. Originally, this piece included a glass ashtray designed to sit in the holder; unfortunately, this is missing. The item is in good vintage condition, showing signs of age and use consistent with its vintage—such as metal discoloration and marks on the marble base (including minor chips and wear to the varnish)—but nothing distracting; please check the photos for details.
