The history and design: A magnificent set of 4 cups (or small mugs) made of vintage stoneware, crafted by the ceramist Claude Paci in Vallauris during the 1970s / 1980s. These pieces perfectly embody the raw and warm charm of artisanal ceramics from that era. They are distinguished by a superb textured beige / cream glaze, enhanced by very graphic rust-brown speckling. The shape is both robust, ergonomic, and decidedly modern. Each piece is unique due to its handcrafted nature and bears the artist's typical incised signature underneath (his intertwined initials C and P). A beautiful set to add a bohemian, rustic, or modernist touch to your table during coffee or tea time. Condition: Excellent overall condition. No chips or cracks. The stoneware and glaze have retained all their original brilliance.
