Rolling trolley - 1st edition - mathieu matégot france - circa 1952 tubular structure in black lacquered metal with 2 perforated trays in black and red lacquered metal. The upper tray is removable. Excellent vintage condition. Entirely original. Mathieu matégot is undoubtedly a precursor of contemporary design. His involvement in innovative techniques and original shapes made him one of the privileged players of the 1950s, leaving his mark on the french style of this fertile post-war period. From the 1940s, he spontaneously introduced the notion of creation and aesthetics in the creation of everyday objects, favoring rattan and metal. He gave them a unique and identifiable shape among all. His stroke of genius was to use, before anyone else, from 1945, and in an unprecedented way, perforated sheet metal. • description: side table - serving trolley • creator: mathieu matégot [1910-2001] • manufacture: 1950's • origin: france • condition: very good, used with signs of wear • dimensions: 74 cm X 71 cm X 57.5 cm.
