Vintage Lounge Chairs by Theo Ruth for Artifort, 1950s, Set of 2

Vintage design. An amazing pair of lounge chairs, one highback and one lady chair, designed by theo ruth and manufactured by artifort in the netherlands, circa 1950’s the chairs have a curved shape around the backrest that seamlessly turns into the armrests. They have a thick seat, creating a very comfortable seating experience combined with the ergonomic shape of the back. The chairs have lacquered beech wooden feet in a beautiful, warm brown colour. The set remains in very good condition including the upholstery. Preserving a beautiful patina. Theo ruth can be considered the pioneer of the artifort designs.
