Old encyclopedic engraving: architecture - by Bénard. This 18th century engraving depicts the architectural details of an imaginary temple, probably made for an encyclopedia published in Paris. In the 18th century there were numerous editions in France and Switzerland (Diderot's encyclopedias for example) dedicated to the Arts and Crafts.
