Bruno Paul: A Visionary Designer Bruno Paul (1874-1968), German architect, designer, and caricaturist, is an iconic figure of 20th-century design. Trained at the Munich Academy of Arts, he influenced designers such as Mies van der Rohe, creator of the famous Barcelona chair. Inspired by Henry van de Velde, Bruno Paul made his mark on the history of design with his simple-lined furniture and functional metal objects. Bibliography: Exh. Cat. Bruno Paul, ed. By A.
