Elegant Louis XV style work table, made of mahogany and rosewood marquetry, adorned on the front with a medallion depicting a cherub, delicately painted, set within a lively cartouche in gilded bronze, whose rococo scrolls highlight the softness of the subject. Its top is entirely decorated with a carefully executed checkerboard marquetry and is bordered by a gilt edge, providing a brilliant line that accentuates the sinuous shape of the perimeter. The interior of the work table is lined with blue velvet, adding a refined and contrasting touch, and demonstrating the care taken in the compartment's design. The bronze ornamentation continues on the curved legs, enhanced at the top with leafy appliqués ending in finely crafted hooves. The sides are also fitted with bronze handles, both decorative and functional, perfectly integrated into the rococo aesthetic of the piece. This refined item, combining the virtuosity of marquetry and the brilliance of bronze, embodies all the charm and delicacy of the Louis XV spirit. Period: Late 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Waxed finish on a hard background. Maximum dimensions: Width: 36 cm. Depth: 28 cm. Height: 75 cm. Reference 490V.
