Middle Display Table in Stained Mahogany, Louis XV style, Napoleon III period – Mid-19th century

This small middle display table in stained mahogany opens with a flap with a dark miter-cut frame and a beveled window. The latter is decorated at the corners with bronze women's heads and surrounded by a frieze of brass rosettes. An authentic and functional lock, accompanied by a key and an entrance decorated with interlaced plants, allows locking. The interior offers a simple storage space. The belt is also decorated with motifs of chimeras, palmettes and crowns. The whole rests on four angular curved legs with bronze scraps and delicately chiseled edging in the form of hooves.
