Kho Liang Ie Rare Early K46 Floor Lamp for Artiforte 1957

Rare floor lamp, model K46, designed by Kho Liang Ie in 1957 for Artiforte Netherlands. Atelier Artiforte was a small company based in Rotterdam, specialized in hand-crafted lighting fixtures and nowadays well-known by their very progressive lighting designs, created by Kho Liang Ie, Johan Niegeman and H. Fillekes. This modernist floor lamp was made for a short time and in small numbers, that's why this lamp is very hard to find, especially with its original diffuser/shade. The lamp has a black square steel structure holding the original delicate fibre tube that covers one TL tube light. It has a very nice Japanese minimalist look. It gives a fantastic light when lit. The lamp is in very good original condition. Just little traces of wear to the structure. The electric wiring is renewed.
