Antique Art Nouveau floor lamp with fan "Luminaire"

A very unique and rare Victorian fan and floor lamp in one. Completely made of cast iron, manufactured by The Cincinnati Victor Co in the USA. This special fan was often used in funeral homes in the United States, where the fan kept flies away from the corpse, masked the smell, and illuminated the body with a soft warm glow from the faux candles. The fan was designed by Charles D. Ryder and patented in 1929. The fan/lamp was also used in living rooms and smoking rooms. The lamp and fan can be switched on and off separately with the buttons on the front. The angle of the fan can be adjusted. Comes with a transformer to use it with current power supplies. In short, a very unique object for lovers of American Art Nouveau. DIMENSIONS: Height: 140cm (without lamps), Width: 48cm, Depth: 48cm, Fan diameter: 34cm. CONDITION: Good and working condition. One plate on the front of the fan is a bit loose on one side (this does not affect use).
