Glass ashtray, designed by Jozef Rozinek, Borocrystal Nový Bor, Czechy 1970

An artistic ashtray made of blown glass with a dynamic, organic form, designed by Jozef Rozinek for Borocrystal Nový Bor in Czechoslovakia. Made using the sommerso technique—embedded layers of amber, pink, yellow, and navy blue—create the effect of depth and movement characteristic of Czech art glass of the 1970s. A unique example of design from the Nový Bor region—an elegant, sculptural collector's item or a decorative accent in retro and mid-century modern styles.
