Philippe Starck John Ild Shelving Unit for Disform Spain 1977

Great shelving unit, model John Ild, designed by Philippe Starck in 1977 for Disform Spain. This is one of Starck's first creations. The unit consists of 2 matt black coated tubular steel rods, which supports the matt black lacquered wooden shelves through an ingenious system. Very clever design, it doesn't need any screws. It has 5 shelves, which are 100cm wide, the depth of the shelves is 20 - 40cm. The unit is in good condition with some traces of wear. A few spots have been touched up slightly.
