Pair of candlesticks by Josef Schott, brutalist/modernist, 1960.

A pair of brutalist candlesticks by Josef Schott for Smålandshyttan, Sweden, 1960. Material: glass. In excellent condition despite their great age. Only a small chip on a lower corner is to be noted (see photo). These candlesticks are typical of his production from the 1960s, featuring blown and moulded optical lens designs. The relief pattern on all four sides with rings and bubbles beautifully refracts the light. These candlesticks can accommodate tea lights, cylindrical candles, or taper candles.
