Beautiful vintage Chinese trunk in wicker, black and gold lacquered wood, and brass.

Beautiful vintage Chinese rectangular trunk made of wicker, black and gold lacquered wood, and brass. On the sides, a lovely geometric decoration of woven wicker. The uprights are made of wood engraved with Greek patterns. On the lid: a (worn) decoration of animated scenes featuring immortal characters in a landscape, with cartouches and calligraphy. Reinforcements, handles, and clasp in brass. There are some minor accidents to the wicker, and signs of oxidation on the metal parts. Normal wear and tear. Otherwise, it is in good overall condition with a pleasant patina of time. Dimensions: 36 X 80 X 50 cm.
