Pair of "model chairs. Herzform, "heart" of. Thonet, chair no.28, The pattern of cordiality is taken up in the back, the seat and the binding ring of the feet. 1885/1900 edition. It is a half chair with dimensions a little small compared to the standard model, however the seat height is 46 cm on this lot which was certainly orchestra rather than bistro. The cannages are very thin recent, six french-style yarns in perfect condition. Total height: 84 cm, width ht: 39 cm. Each chair is stamped in hollows. Gum-lacquer tint: light walnut.
