Low buffet/renovated vintage sideboard, Scandinavian style, 1950s-60s

This charming modernist low cabinet dates back to the 1950s–60s and perfectly illustrates the functional elegance of mid-century design. Inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics, it captivates with its clean lines, balanced proportions, and delicate details. Its asymmetrical façade is one of its most remarkable features: on one side, a discreet hinged door with an original golden handle, and on the other, a series of three drawers with sleek fronts, each equipped with fine original golden handles in a minimalist design. This composition creates rhythm while maintaining a strong visual coherence. The wood, oak veneer, displays a fine and warm grain, subtly enhanced by a bright light hue. The slightly overhanging frame of the cabinet, with softened corners, highlights the quality of craftsmanship and adds an extra touch of softness to the whole. Resting on four slender black metal tapered legs, finished with golden tips, the cabinet gains in lightness and character. This iconic leg design from the 50s-60s accentuates its airy appearance while affirming its vintage identity.
