Magnificent antique tobacco pot made of solid walnut, originating from Chambéry (Savoie). An authentic piece of Savoyard popular art dating from the early 20th century (circa 1910-1930). Never used as a tobacco pot, it belonged to a collector. Very beautiful direct carving work "with facets" (cut sides) done entirely by hand. Decorated with domed brass nails and dotted patterns typical of Alpine craftsmanship, making it a high-end model. Marked "CHAMBÉRY" engraved under the base (Atelier Brunet or similar). Excellent condition. The wood has a very beautiful original patina. The lid fits perfectly. Vintage and Art Deco. Height 16 cm.
