Girard and Barrère terrestrial globe on tripod base / vintage 50s-60s

Girard and barrère terrestrial globe on tripod base / vintage 50s-60s abandoned in an attic this pretty globe had a sad appearance (see the last 4 photos) I thought it deserved a little makeover to find a second life a little washing, removal of the plastic film, gluing of the cap and cleaning of the equator line!... A small chrome cabochon and black foot tips (recycled, not original) it has regained its proud appearance... And here we go again: -) some slight chips of paint on the base / very minimal height 30 cms diameter of the globe 25 cms depth 26.5 cms sold as is as in photos.
