Louis XV period buffet in solid walnut. This piece is from the Louis XV period, with inspirations from the Louis XIV style. Let me explain; the "shell" feet present at the front bottom legs, as well as the carvings on the lower rail, are typical of the Louis XV style. However, the symmetrical moulding of the front and side panels is characteristic of the Louis XIV style. Therefore, we have a piece made in the early Louis XV period. Very few restorations were necessary, just a good stripping and a beeswax finish. The patina is warm and nuanced, and the interiors are also prepared, specifically with a glazed finish.
