Superb handcrafted stoneware jug from the mid-20th century, around 1960-1970, French work in the spirit of productions from Puisaye or La Borne, with an aesthetic strongly reminiscent of Japanese pottery such as that from the Iga kilns. Beautiful elongated and balanced shape, with a wide belly and a narrow neck, featuring a robust handle and a pronounced spout. Dressed in an ash glaze with stunning shades of khaki green on the upper part and a lovely warm brown body. The glazing on the upper part forms long, natural drips that are particularly decorative. Height 34 cm, maximum width 20 cm including the handle, diameter approximately 16 cm. Very good overall condition, nothing notable. Estimated weight between 2 and 3 kg.
