Set of 2 large serving dishes in Creil and Montereau earthenware, Japan model or known as Monet because it furnished the painter's house in Giverny. Dating from the 1880s, one shows signs of wear: a chip measuring 2cm x 4cm on the edge and a 7cm hairline crack running from the edge towards the centre, but it is fine, discreet on the face and hardly noticeable (everything is in the photos, enlarge if needed), slight crazing of the glaze, minimal firing defects on the back; the second is in very good overall condition, with no chips or cracks, uncracked glaze, but with minimal firing defects, one in a specific spot, and some roughness on the back. They remain very beautiful, with stunning blue and patterns, the background is a bluish white, characteristic of this model. Diameter 37 cm.
