Wassily armchair by Marcel Breuer for Knoll International - 1990s

Magnificent wassily armchair, designed by marcel breuer in the 1925s when he was at the head of the bauhaus. This armchair was a revolution for the time since it was made of curved tubular steel as well as leather, inexpensive materials for the time. The manufacturing method is also very ingenious and therefore easy to reproduce. It was first mass-produced by gavina in the 1940s and then by knoll international in the 1990s. This chair is in very good vintage condition. It has no damage or missing parts. However, it has some signs of wear due to time but above all a magnificent patina. This armchair is signed "marcel breuer" in the form of an engraving in the leather, as you can see in one of the photos offered. This engraving tells us that it is a knoll international edition in the 1990s.
