For sale, this magnificent and original insect hotel / solitary bee nesting box made of artistic ceramic, entirely handcrafted and glazed. Combining aesthetics and ecological utility, it features a playful design in the shape of a die (with the "5" face represented on top by large openings). A unique piece, it is signed by the artisan ("VANESSA") engraved in the clay on one side. Nesting tunnels (side faces): Dozens of small deep holes specially sized to provide a perfect shelter for solitary bees (osmias, leafcutter bees) to lay their eggs and protect their larvae. Large cavities (top face): The 5 large openings allow beneficial garden insects (lacewings, ladybirds, earwigs) to come and hibernate or take shelter. Finish: Superb glossy glaze in terracotta tones, brown and green touches (majolica style / tortoiseshell). Condition: Very good overall condition. The inside of the tubes is raw (not glazed), which is ideal and essential for the grip and comfort of the insects. Installation advice: To be placed in the garden or on a balcony at 1m/1.5m above the ground, ideally facing South/South-East to capture the morning sun. A small ledge or shelter is recommended to prevent rain from accumulating in the upper holes. Ideal for nature lovers, biodiversity in the garden, or collectors of unusual ceramics!
