This desk in mahogany veneer, it is composed of two boxes opening by six drawers connected by a black lacquered metal spacer bar all resting on four straight legs connected by black lacquered metal spacer bars. Pierre guariche, visionary designer, was able to bring a functionalist dimension to the furniture without ever forgetting the aesthetic approach. He was keen to meet the needs of his time by using mass production processes. His creations have become mythical pieces such as the tonneau chair (1953 and 1954), the tulip chair (1956) or the president desk (1961). The desk is in a general correct condition with a pronounced patina wear on the tray, we report friction and scratches of use on the facades, wear and pitting on the paint of the handles, a more pronounced scratch on one of the sides with a greater friction on an angle, stains and scratches on the tray.
