Very old and beautiful color lithograph of butterflies. 🦋 Illustration of rhopalocera (Rhopalocera in Latin), including rhamni. 🦋 This plate is an original from 1887. It is not a copy but an engraving of more than 130 years! 🦋 size: 28 X 21 cm. 🦋 a detailed and realistic work from a specialized book; with about thirty different species illustrated. 🦋 The condition of the engraving is good: edges a little worn, minimal freckles. Once framed, it will no longer be seen and will give a beautiful vintage effect. 🦋 The Rhopalocera (or "butterflies" in the common sense) are an ancient suborder of Lepidoptera.
