Scriban English Georgian style

Scriban desk in elm burr – English brand Rosjohn. Authentic slant-front secretary (scriban desk) in Georgian style, made in England by the prestigious Rosjohn Furniture (original label present in the drawer). This elegant model is distinguished by its front made of elm burr veneer with striking marbled patterns, beautifully contrasting with a robust structure in light oak/beech. Features and storage: * Upper section: A slanted drop-down front that locks, revealing a workspace (desk) with small internal storage compartments. * Lower section: Four large stacked drawers providing very generous storage space. * Charming details: Original drop handles and patinated brass lock entries. Original ornate key provided. Condition: Second-hand furniture of very fine quality, stable and solid. The veneer is overall very well preserved. Note some slight signs of age and normal use (particularly on the bottom of the legs, see photos), which in no way detract from the charm and authenticity of this piece.
