Authentic topographic map of the General Staff (Geographic Service of the Army), Type 1912. Published between 1912 and 1914. • Area covered: North-East quadripoint of Paris (Paris, Beauvais, Soissons, Montmirail, Compiègne, Meaux, Château-Thierry). Historical area of the Battle of the Marne (1914). • Scale: 1: 200, 000. • Unfolded dimensions: 64 X 40 cm. • Printing: Front in colour (very nice freshness of the greens and Parisian pink). • Condition: Generally good condition. Old folds neatly reinforced on the back at the time. Signs of handling and old handwritten annotations on the back. The map was trimmed at the time (without the outer white margins), ideal for direct framing. • 📦 Highly secure shipping: As the map is already folded originally, it will be shipped flat in professional rigid packaging. It will be placed in a waterproof plastic sleeve, then inserted between two thick cardboard sheets to prevent any twisting or accidental folding during transport. Fast shipping with tracking.
