Scandinavian mid century modern daybed

Scandinavian mid-century modern daybed crafted during the 1960s, and it clearly shows a strong inspiration from Hans Wegner’s designs. This piece features a walnut veneered frame paired with a new quilted mattress upholstered in natural, thick, wool Italian bouclé fabric by Fabio Fabbri. A decorative bolster enhances its elegance and complements the overall design beautifully. Traditionally crafted from natural wool, this thick, dark green boucle fabric offers excellent anti-allergic properties and helps maintain electrostatic balance—ideal for contemporary interiors often filled with synthetic materials. A nicely profiled wooden frame with gently rounded corners not only keeps the mattress stable but also perfectly harmonizes with the upholstery, creating a timeless design. The teak wood frame has been treated with protective oil to enhance the grain. Decorative brass feet and mattress holders have been slightly polished.
