Stoll Giroflex 7112 Space Age leather office chair by Martin Stoll, 1970

This exceptional office chair is a typical example of futuristic design from the early 1970s. Its solid brown chocolate plexiglass shell is paired with olive green leather cushions. The shell shows signs of wear at the corners of the armrests and on the upper edge of the backrest. The olive green leather cushions provide good seating comfort and display an attractive patina, reflecting their age. This vintage chair is equipped with a fully functional hydraulic height adjustment mechanism. It also features a lockable tilt function operated by a lever. The structure is made of solid metal, also brown, and includes its original chrome casters. This model was designed in the 1970s for Stoll Giroflex and brilliantly reflects the futuristic spirit of the time. Stoll Giroflex is a furniture manufacturer specialising in the production of office chairs since the 1890s and has become the industry leader in Switzerland. From 1977, the company operated under the name Martin Stoll.
