◼ THE HISTORY & DESIGN The office chair that everyone recognises without necessarily knowing its name: the Executive by Charles Pollock, published by Knoll International since 1963. Its distinctive feature is immediately apparent — the chrome-plated aluminium rim that encircles the entire shell and shines around the seat. It is what holds the structure, and it gives the chair its sharp silhouette. The black button-tufted leather is a timeless shade that fits in anywhere: in front of a wooden desk, in a library corner, next to a fireplace. The low seat at 45 cm makes it a true armchair, not an office chair. The black leather is extremely well preserved: supple, clean, without tears. The shell and chrome are in very good condition.
