High plant stand in carved wood and Art Nouveau marble.

Elegant and tall plant stand (pedestal) from the Art Nouveau period (circa 1900), made of carved solid wood, topped with its original inset marble top. Its slender line is typical of the 1900 style, with tapered legs, a curved stretcher shelf, and openwork crossbars under the top featuring stylised plant motifs. Characteristics and dimensions: Period: Art Nouveau / Early 20th century (1890–1910) Materials: Solid wood & original veined marble. Total height: 110 cm. Top footprint (wood): 30.5 cm × 30.5 cm. Marble slab: 20.5 cm × 20.5 cm. Condition: Minimal signs of use and age that give it all its charm and original patina. The marble is in impeccable condition (no chips, no cracks). The structure is stable and sound. Very slight wear to the varnish on the legs, entirely consistent with its age. Ideal for enhancing a hanging plant, a sculpture, a vintage vase, or serving as a graphic side table in a classic or contemporary interior.
