Pastoe FM08 lounge chair by Cees Braakman, 1960

This pastoe fm08 comes in the swivel version with a star base. The contemporary black vinyl upholstery is in very good condition, with only slight wear on the armrest corners. The black frame shows hardly any signs of wear and swivels easily. Despite the sparse upholstery, this armchair offers an excellent seating experience. The fm08 was designed in 1959 by dutch designer cees braakman, who at the time was head of design at the dutch manufacturer usm pastoe. Pastoe, founded in 1931, had already earned a solid reputation for its chairs and tables. With the fm08, braakman created a design icon that still feels absolutely timeless today.
