Pair of gilded bronze and enamel candelabra – Napoléon III period

Pair of gilded bronze and enamel candelabra – Napoleonic III period. Important pair of decorative candelabra in gilded bronze, each featuring five arms of light with an additional elevated central light, making a total of six lights. The curved branches with scrolls are enhanced with chains of small spheres and support finely pierced bobeches. The top is adorned with a spectacular flame motif. The baluster shaft is decorated with a polychrome enamel frieze, featuring red and green cabochons on a light background, and flanked by pierced elements. The whole rests on an architecturally designed quadrangular base finished with four richly crafted feet. Particularly abundant decoration, characteristic of the historicist taste of the second half of the 19th century, in the spirit of French productions from the Napoleonic III period. Height: 50 cm.
