Superb and authentic catch-all (or small decorative bowl) in sculpted ceramic, made by the famous Potters of Accolay during the 1950s-1960s. Handcrafted in an elegant free organic shape reminiscent of a leaf, this unique piece showcases the overflowing creativity and technical know-how of the Yonne workshop in the mid-20th century. We love its particularly sought-after and contrasting two-tone glazing work: The exterior features a bright turquoise glaze that is vibrant and subtly textured. The interior reveals a sumptuous speckled decor with intense shades of red (oxblood effect), brown, and beige. The edge is delicately rhythmized by notches carved into the material. Very good vintage condition. Note very minimal and discreet glaze skips on the border, which do not detract from its charm or usability.
