Standing cup dauphin crystal of baccarat 1897

This magnificent cup is made of baccarat molded crystal. This pedestal table is composed of a sumptuous dolphin-shaped foot, frosted with acid, a curious chimera - fish, enhanced by a wide crystal cup. The upper cut is engraved with delicate leaves and fruits. It is in 3 parts: the foot, the central ring concealing the metal threading and cutting. Coming from the manufacture de baccarat, it is an exceptional centerpiece. This model is in the baccarat catalog of 1897 - it is not stamped. In excellent condition, this standing cup measures 33 cm in height and 30 cm in diameter. I report scratches of use and a small shine on the intermediate ring. Baccarat began stamping these pieces with its acid-engraved signature in 1936.
