Hot water bottle lamp in solid bronze gilded louis XVI style "Lucien Gau"

This gilded lamp in solid bronze, louis XVI style, with two lights, is characterized by its green and gold painted lampshade, the profusion of its decoration and the cup in which its foot rests. The bronze finish highlights the quality and precision of its décor. From the cup rises the lamp foot decorated with necklace of fine pearls, leaves and shiny circles. The body begins with a detail of rising leaves, continues with a streamlined part that supports a new cup from which the arms in double volutes carrying lights. These arms are highlighted, partly with a decorative element but what is also noticeable is the brilliant treatment of bronze. The basins are carved with floral motifs and carry the candles directly. The lampshade slides on a thin finished stem of a bud in order to adjust the height in reference to the vintage models with candles whose size was reduced as the combustion progressed.
