Omann Jun, the Danish teak workshop

Omann Jun Møbelfabrik, founded in Hadsten, Denmark in 1933, is one of the most active Danish post-war teak furniture manufactures. Specialising in the serial production of tables, sideboards, bookshelves and chairs in teak and rosewood, it equipped Scandinavian and international interiors for three decades. Designers Gunni Omann, Tony Hansen and Carl Aage Skov signed part of the catalogue for the house. A sober, democratic production that embodies what Danish furniture did best on a large scale.

Sideboards, tables and bookshelves signed Omann Jun, particularly model 54 in teak, remain the manufactory's most identifiable pieces. Scandinavian vintage furniture to find for those wanting an authentic Danish signature, at still very accessible prices.
