Maison Lalique. According to René Lalique (1860/1945). Ashtray lounge with quadrangular section, slightly rounded edges, in clear glass press moulded and partly Satin with decoration in relief of oves of varying sizes, circled by the engraved intaglio palmettes. The Interior smooth and clear, Virgin of any décor. Model "Hermitage", created by Rene Lalique May 19, 1938. Continued after 1947 under reference n ° 5022, then resumed at a rate of 1951 under number 10-375. Room in the catalogue Raisonné. It is, originally, as evidenced by the words of the catalogue Raisonné for a plate lunch. This model, "Hermitage", has been declined, indeed, in glasses and carafes, plates lunch and cheese, etc. Our object is therefore, officially, a plate lunch. Notwithstanding, its form, and its dimensions, its allure, we seem to be more suited to the contemporary era, in an ashtray (placed for example on the coffee table of a lounge). It is a certainly quite subjective point of view... but that's the reason why we present the object thus diverted, in some ways. Signed on the reverse, the vibrograph, on the upper edge, in cursive letters incised (cfr. photo). Work of the second half of the twentieth century, years 50/60. Dimensions (in Cm): L., 17.25 X l., 14.00; height, 02.25 -. Excellent condition.
